Mechanical properties is defined as “any material of essential strength,Hardness and behaviour of material is checking before selection of any material for use in any project”.
Properties of material is most important in engineering field for selection of material and their properties. various types of mechanical properties is using in Mechanical engineering.
Types Of Mechanical Properties Of Materials
- Module’s of rigidity
Elasticity:-Elasticity is the properties of material when any force is applies on body and ability of body to resist the stress.
And when force is removed its return into original shape and size.it is called Elasticity of material.
Plasticity:-Plasticity is the properties of material when any force is applied on body.
And ability of body to resist of stress, and when force is remove its change into original shape and size.it is called Plasticity of material.
Britellness:-It is property of mechanical when subjected to stress, it break without plastic deformation.Britell material absorb little energy prior to fracture.
Hardness:-Hardness is the”properties of material,which is ability of material to resist plastic deformation. penetration such as impact,wear etc. it is called Hardness of material”.
Strength:-the strength of a material it is ability to withstand an applied load without failure or plastic deformation. In this property there is yield strength,Tensile strength,Fatigue strength.
Ductility:-Ductility is properties of material which performs under the Tensile stress. and in this indicates how material deform easily.
Creep:-In this property material moves slowly and deform under mechanical stress.
Creep is categories into three part like-Primary ,Secondary,Tertiaty.and it is deforme under constant load.
Fatigue :-It is type of mechanical properties in which the materials weakening due to continuous applied load.
Module’s of rigidity:-It is also type of mechanical properties Module’s of rigidity or shear modules is the “ratio of shear stress to the shear strain.
